For what it's worth, I don't think there's anything wrong with your thinking Vicky!
Maybe you're in a position where you need to take the first job that comes along (?), but even then it's ok to keep looking for something that's really going to make you happy...maybe that's another job that's not perfect, but gives you experience that you need for that dream job.
Life is short, be realistic/sensible, but don't settle.
